Matchbox Collectibles is another division of Matchbox Toys that specializes in yesteryears models. Originally it was a subsidiary of Matchbox Toys Australia that was established in early 1980's to promote Dinky Collection and Model of Yesteryears. Later on, in order to simplified the distribution process two more centers were opened in Europe and U.S.A Due to their vast operation, the models are sold via mail order.
Most recently they have be releasing new Fire Engine models. They are also produced a few very pretty MB 38 Model "A" Ford sets, one in 1993 called "Pills, Potions and Powders" one in 1994 called "Circus Comes to Town." One set was issued in 1995 called "Post Vehicles of the World." Each set includes 6 models. For Christmas of 1994 they have produced a set of 4 yesteryear models in a very limited quantity called "Christmas Treasures 1994" and Christmas Treasures 1995 The casting used for these models are Austin 7 from the original YS-65 Austin 7 collection. All four models are in holiday season colors with four different holiday greetings imprinted. A same sort of set was released for Christmas 1995. FAO Schwarz, in conjunction with Matchbox Collectibles released a similar set with their logo on each model. Matchbox Collectibles is also responsible of promoting the DINKY line from Matchbox. Most recently they have released the Micro Brewery models in two different series. They are also responsible for promoting King size trailers and other 1:43 scale models.
